I Can Haz Free Crappy Portaits?… I CAN, I CAN!

if you’re still reading over the title of this post in sheer amazement and confusion, trying to deduce exactly what it means… i might be, too ;) but read along and all should be revealed!

some of you may have heard of Free Crappy Portraits. i posted a link to their blog on here a couple months ago… because i am a MAJOR fan. basically what they do is take photos which people send to them - of themselves, their loved ones, their pets, whatever - and they turn them into crappy portraits, based on the photographs themselves and whatever additional details are provided by the sendee. and they do this for free. um… AWESOME.

i finally got around to emailing them with a DOUBLE request (because i am a bad indecisive person) last month, and this is what i said:

Hi, y’all :)

I know I should really only send you one photo, but I really couldn’t decide (yes, I’m terribly indecisive) which would be more epic - a crappy portrait of me and my sister, or a crappy portrait of my band! decisions decisions… sigh. so i decided (wow!) to send both photos and if you get the chance, you can crapify both. if not, just crapify the one of me and my sister… and i will explain why now :)

i’m Hannah and my sister’s name is Sindi. it’s her 21st birthday on Thursday and i could think of nothing better to give her than a wholly original, one-of-a-kind crappy portrait of the two of us! we are basically best friends and love each other infinitely. (i’m the blonde, she’s the brunette)
i am a big fan of rainbows, cupcakes, the sea, blogging and watching rugby.
Sindi simply adores cooking, Maths, Lord of the Rings, brightly-coloured daisies and sushi.
we both have fetishes for reading, chocolate, cats and pulling faces.
and we want to open a joint bookshop/cafe together one day.



then, if you get the chance, i think a crappy portrait of my band would pretty much win. we’re called The Bad Hands and we’re an acoustic, indie-vibes kind of number. we comprise of Clarke (L), me (Hannah, in the middle) and Justin (R). Clarke has the best laugh around, and he owns an imaginary dog named TimTod and a real Russian dwarf hamster named Tyler. i’m full-on crazy and like talking all the time (except when i’m singing). Justin is a boss (as in, he’s cool); he has t-shirts with funny sayings on them that he wears all the time and he encourages girls to throw their bras onto the stage while we’re performing (none have yet complied).


i love you guys’ work and i think you’re AMAZING! :) big big fan. just sayin’.
